Radical Entertainment 's Expertise in Gaming Detailed in Demo and White Paper for Nintendo
August 15, 2001, Vancouver, BC -- Radical Entertainment, one of North America 's leading developers of interactive entertainment announced today that it has developed a demo application and white paper for Nintendo 's, much anticipated, GameCube. The GameCube is a next generation game console launching this November.
This demo is designed to utilize many of the features of Radical 's proprietary game engine (Pure3D™). The white paper is a companion to the demo application and provides information on Radical 's technical expertise to other game companies.
More specifically, the demo was designed to test key features of Radical 's game engine including texturing, lighting, characters, special effects, and physics. The highlight of the demo is the physics component, which controls character and object collisions, providing a more realistic and immersive experience for game players in a world full of entertaining chaos.
Radical was invited to create this demo for Nintendo because of the synergies between Radical 's technology and the GameCube. The process provided a collaborative environment for both Radical 's and Nintendo 's programmers to push the future of entertainment.
""Our expertise in game development, built over the past 10 years has proven valuable in publishing this research on how the user experience on a GameCube can be vastly enhanced,"" said Danielle Michael, Radical 's Director of Business Development. ""We 're thrilled to take this opportunity to build our relationship with Nintendo and work together in the future,"" she added.
